Waves of Flags: Flag Raising 2026
Join alumni, students, parents, and community members to partake in this beloved Pepperdine tradition as we set up the annual Waves of Flags display on Alumni Park on the 25th anniversary year of the 9/11 attacks. This installation of 2,977 flags, to honor those who died in the 9/11 attacks, draws local and national attention, and has provided comfort and hope in the field of flags waving on our campus lawn. Show your Pepperdine spirit by wearing blue and orange, and join us for this rewarding service project, including a special "first flag" ceremony with our nation's Veterans, First Responders, and Pepperdine leadership. More information will be provided to registrants (e.g. parking and meeting location).
Location: Pepperdine Malibu Campus (Alumni Park) • 24255 Pacific Coast Highway, Malibu CA 90263
Cost: This event is free of charge.
Age Requirements: Children ages 12 and older are permitted to help with the flag installation. Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.
Support the Waves of Flags Endowed Fund: We invite you to make a gift of $20 or more that will go directly to the Waves of Flags Endowed Fund.
