Austin Waves: Step Forward Day 2026
For over 30 years, Step Forward Day has brought together community members from all six of Pepperdine's schools to embody Pepperdine's mission through community service projects across the country. We invite you to open your heart and roll up your sleeves for a day of community service with your regional network!
Led by your Austin Waves Chapter Leaders, alumni, parents, and friends are invited to serve at Festival Beach Food Forest, which grows edible forest gardens on public land that nourishes, educates, and inspires. Waves will assist with various gardening and on-site maintenance activities, such as planting and sowing seeds, spreading mulch, working on pathways and irrigation, pruning and cutting back vegetation, and more! Rep the Pepp in your blue and orange, and jump into service! *Please note that a separate waiver will be completed on-site at the Festival Beach Food Forest day-of the service project.

Age Requirements: This project is family friendly, but children must be supervised and accompanied at all times.
Support the Waves of Service Fund: You are invited to give a gift during the registration process which will go directly to the Pepperdine Waves of Service Fund and will equip our alumni and community members with the tools to be changemakers in their communities.
