9/11 Remembrance Ceremony

This year, Pepperdine honors the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks, a solemn milestone that deepens our annual tradition of remembrance. We invite students, alumni, and the community to gather in Alumni Park to honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost in 2001. The ceremony takes place amidst the Waves of Flags memorial—a poignant tribute featuring an American or international flag for each life lost in the attacks. Special guests and Pepperdine leadership will lead attendees in prayer and reflection as we remember the victims and honor the resilience, strength, and faith that have united our nation in the years since the devastating attacks. There is no cost to attend this remembrance ceremony, but we kindly ask that you register so we can provide ample seating and anticipate your arrival. Attendees are invited to come early or stay afterward to walk among the Waves of Flags display and pay respects.
